CASE STUDY
MEAT & GREEK

Meet Lisandros Hajigeorgis & Sophie Tumelty - couple and co-directors of the Meat & Greek empire - they started out choppin’, toastin’, and servin’ at events with a little help from their respective families. Three generations to be exact!
Fast forward 10 years and they now have two stores: one in Goodsheds, Barry and the other in Newport Market. They produce authentic and damn-tasty Greek food.

LUNA TIDES
THE HEADLINES
On March 8th and 9th, 2025, LUNA TIDES partnered with Meat & Greek for the first Exposure Programme, an initiative designed to provide emerging creatives with hands-on experience in producing high-end commercial content. The collaboration aimed to create a compelling visual campaign to showcase Meat & Greek's offerings and brand story.
To ensure accessibility and to simulate a real-world commercial environment, each cohort member was awarded a £240 bursary for their participation.
Additionally, the programme included personalised mentoring sessions. The first set of sessions established individual targets for each member, with follow-up sessions planned for April, upon completion of their edits to provide further guidance and feedback.
PRE-PRODUCTION
Ahead of the workshop, the LUNA TIDES team conducted a pre-production meeting with Meat & Greek to understand their brand identity, goals, and expectations from the programme. This meeting fostered a strong connection between both parties, laying the foundation for a successful collaboration. Following this, LUNA TIDES developed a comprehensive Spec Sheet for the cohort, detailing Meat & Greek's branding elements, color schemes, and the desired outcomes for the production.
PRODUCTION
On the morning of March 8th, the cohort assembled at 9:00 AM and were introduced to the LUNA TIDES team:
-
Thomas Seddon (CEO & Producer)
-
Dayna Lea (Director of Operations)
-
Joe Blomfield (Programme Director)
-
Grant Royce (Photographer)
-
Jack Browse (Cinematographer)
-
Catrin Morgan (Tramshed Tech Barry Site Manager)
-
Sam Birch (LUNA TIDES EPK Self Shooting DP)
The cohort also had the opportunity to meet Lisandros and Sophie, the passionate owners of Meat & Greek. This interaction provided valuable insights into the brand's ethos and allowed the cohort to connect personally with the clients.
By 10:30 AM, the team commenced equipment setup, offering the cohort hands-on experience with cameras, lighting, and the various filming locations available. An interview room was prepared at Tramshed Tech for afternoon sessions, while plans were made for B-roll footage. The team had access to multiple shooting environments, including:
-
Tramshed Tech: For interviews, food photography, and close-up food videography.
-
Meat & Greek's Restaurant at Goodsheds: For capturing B-roll footage with actors Caitlin, as well as team members Dayna, and Catrin.
Under the guidance of LUNA TIDES team, with a special thanks to Cinematographer Jack Browse, the cohort proceeded to Meat & Greek's restaurant to film the B-roll footage.
They captured a variety of shots, including detailed close-ups, candid interactions between Lisandros and the actors, and dynamic scenes of the charcoal grill in action.
By 3:00 PM, the B-roll filming concluded, and the team transitioned to conducting interviews with Lisandros, Sophie, and Lisandros's father. The cohort actively participated in the interview process, managing tasks such as operating the clapperboard, handling audio equipment, and overseeing a three-camera setup.
POST - PRODUCTION
The following day focused on post-production. The cohort received training in the basics of DaVinci Resolve, equipping them with the skills to create their own edits beyond the programme. This initiative aimed to provide participants with material for their showreels, enhancing their professional portfolios.
